Misadventures…. Meredith & Mia’s New Release is HOT
Wicked Abyss by Kresley Cole, powerhouse of PNR
Kresley Cole is a powerhouse in the PNR genre. If you are a fan of the genre and you haven’t started the Immortals After Dark series, you are missing out. WICKED ABYSS is the 18th book in the series and not really characters most of the fans of the series could get behind. We’re always hoping that one of the “left-hanging” characters will get their HEA, but then she throws at us, characters that we haven’t really heard about, or really, haven’t gotten attached to.
Love & FBI Agents! Must read from Julie James
Release Day Review: Borrowed Souls by Chelsea Mueller
The Sex Bucket List – An Original and Enjoyable Contemporary by Prescott Lane
The name and genre this book is listed in do not give it justice. The cover, name, and everything else lead you to believe this is gonna be another one of those explicit erotica contemporary romances that are really nothing more than a bunch of sex scenes and little plot. But, this book is nothing of the sort. I was surprised that it is classified within erotica, because I would have thought this would be a straight up romance. Yes, it’s hot – but there is a whole lot more going on than just sexy time.
The Billionaire Beast, Another Damaged Billionaire Harasses a Good Girl Until She Falls In Love…
The Billionaire Beast is the first book by Jackie Ashenden that I’ve read, even though it’s 2nd in the series. It can be read as a stand-alone though, so I didn’t have issues following along. I feel like every romance that is getting tucked into my inbox is a Billionaire novel – and each one is getting more outlandish than the next. This one isn’t your typical billionaire in the setting, but it’s stereotypical in the composition. Ashenden set out to create more of a “bastard” billionaire than all the rest and she succeeded and then wrapped him in a mental illness so you’ll pity him. While I did enjoy the novel, when it ended I felt a bit let down, because it is a fairy tale novel – the happily-ever-after was too contrived.
Another “Hot Billionaire Novel” The Rule Maker by Jennifer Blackwood
The “Hot Billionaire” trend is not fading, and I do have to admit that I like them, but when they get formulaic they do tend to chafe and get repetitive. The Rule Maker was as formulaic as they get. Insert romantic part here, insert quirky scene here. I did find some of the interactions quite entertaining but the overall feel of a cookie-cutter billionaire romance had me losing interest once they hooked up.
Under Pressure by Lori Foster
Once a Gypsy by Danica Winters #PNR Review
A fresh new Paranormal Romance series, Once a Gypsy is a unique read that I found enjoyable and entertaining. Very slow to start it took me a little to get used to the nuances of the story and slog through a lot of the need to establish gypsy culture - but once the story got going it was interesting. I give it to Winters for staying true to the real gypsy culture, or at least the one that we are used to as depicted by TLC and not brushing it off, she did a great job of portraying pseudo-reality within the pages of fiction.

Royally Screwed was one of those guilty pleasure romance that I so enjoy. Sure, it's a romance involving a royal and a commoner, something that's been done a few times, but Emma Chase made it funny, sexy, and added a few twists and turns that made it fresh. The narration by Andi Arndt and Shane East was a pleasure to listen to, making this a MUST LISTEN audiobook.
