The Billionaire Beast, Another Damaged Billionaire Harasses a Good Girl Until She Falls In Love…

The Billionaire Beast is the first book by Jackie Ashenden that I’ve read, even though it’s 2nd in the series. It can be read as a stand-alone though, so I didn’t have issues following along. I feel like every romance that is getting tucked into my inbox is a Billionaire novel – and each one is getting more outlandish than the next. This one isn’t your typical billionaire in the setting, but it’s stereotypical in the composition. Ashenden set out to create more of a “bastard” billionaire than all the rest and she succeeded and then wrapped him in a mental illness so you’ll pity him. While I did enjoy the novel, when it ended I felt a bit let down, because it is a fairy tale novel – the happily-ever-after was too contrived.

Dark Alpha’s Embrace by Donna Grant

Grant’s new series, REAPERS is another great example of her crazy paranormal world. I started on book two, because I get confused like that - but I was still enthralled.

Stomp vs Romp – Kate Baxter goes STEAMY as Team Romp

Kate Baxter goes STEAMY as Team Romp.

Thanks so much for having me as a guest for Romp vs. Stomp! I’m a proud member of team Romp and ready to bring the heat. A good fight scene is great and definitely has its place in paranormal romance, but nothing gets your blood pumping like a hot and steamy sex scene. Throw a vampire into the mix and I’m more than ready to sit down and read. Here’s a steamy excerpt from THE LAST TRUE VAMPIRE. Mikhail could bite me any day! 😉

Excerpt is Rated R, Adults Only

Shapeshifted by Cassie Alexander (with character interview and giveaway of signed copy)

PJV Quickie: I can share my feelings about this book with one word: amazing. It takes the right combination of interesting characters, exciting plot, as well as other elements I love, such as romance and humor, to get a 5 star rating out of me. Shapeshifted nailed it. It had everything I love in a book and introduced me to a new series that I can add to my “Favorites” list.   Review:...
