Review: Exiled by Jasina Wilder

Madame X was a surprise hit for me last year, and the second book, Exposed, left me waiting excitedly for the final book in the trilogy, Exiled. I want to say it was everything I expected, and while parts of it did have what I’d been hoping for in a conclusion, overall it was predictable and I’m embarrassed to say I skimmed over quite a bit. Sex, Lies and Designer Shoes by Kimberly Van Meter

PJV QUICKIE: A cute story that has a very sexy Alpha and a clueless heroine was fun to read but had me thinking “have I read this before?” on numerous points throughout the story. Well written, but just not that original. Review: CoCo is the daughter of a shoe designer, she’s spoiled, pampered and out of touch with reality. Rian is the best of the best, but he’s judgmental, egotistical and rude and doesn’t want anything to do with CoCo. He’s forced to take her case and he makes his dislike of her evident from the start. He forces...

When we left Rachel Livingston at the end of Manwhore, her life was in a shambles:  She had just been exposed for doing a secret article on one of Chicago’s hottest bachelors – Malcolm Saint. The problem was, she had fallen in love with him and was pretty sure he had fallen for her as well.  After the story blew up,...

The Billionaire’s Intern – A Serial That Didn’t Work For Me…

The Billionaire’s Intern – Part I by Maisey Yates   PJV Quickie: A series by Harlequin has jumped on the Billionaire Serial Band Wagon and I really did think it had potential. I like a good serial. I like a good Billionaire. But, this one just ended. There was no progression. There was no stopping point. It was just like the chapter ended — and you have to move on to the next book. This is not how I think a serial should be handled. At least give me a cliffhanger. Because of this, I rated the book low....
