Into the Water
by Paula Hawkins
This is one of theose covers that perfectly reflects the novel. The image of what might be a face under the water promotes the mystery and horror of what this novel is about. They did a fabulous job with Hawkins’ cover.

Now I Rise by
Kiersten White
The similicity of this cover is what draws me to it. It is violent and dark at once with only a tiny bit of imagary on the cover.

Warcross by
Marie Lu
Everything about this cover is amazing. The 3D look of the text with it’s multi-dimentional feel, the colors, and the typography of the description. They did an amazing job with Lu’s amazing book.

ALL OUR WRONG TODAYS by Elan Mastai
A favorite book and a favorite cover. I love the typography on this and how it conveys the chaos that is this title.

A COURT OF WINGS AND RUIN by Sarah J. Maas
I’m usually not a huge fan of illustrations on covers, but the detail work paired with the simplicity of background does it for me.

American War
by Omar El Akkad
I wasn’t a huge fan of this book, it was a DNF – but the cover I can admit was what initially drew me to it. Again with the simplicity that conveys what they were trying to convey. I interpreted it differently than what was actually in the novel – but there was hope.

Wonder Woman: Warbringer
by Leah Barduga
A fabulous illustration cover – and now I’m eating my own words. I love looking at this cover, mainly because I have a girl-crush on Wonder Woman and she looks so powerful here.

Roar
by Cora Carmack
While a bit stereotypical with the female on the cliff with her dress blowing in the wind, Carmack’s cover is compelling. The blend of colors, the organic with the passionate make me want to read, instead of conveying that this might be just another fantasy YA.

FROST BLOOD by Elly Blake
You know exactly what you are going to get with this cover. A snowscape, a YA fantasy, and some violence…I can’t stop looking at it. Love it.

BAD GIRL WITH PERECT FACES by Lynn Weingarten
Perfection. This images alone would make people stop and look. The red lipstick implies danger, the flies, death and rot. Even the subtle red tones in the flies… cover-gasm. Simplicity is key in 2017.
