RIDERS by
Veronica Rossi
A good opener in a duology series, about the four horseman of the apocalypse. It’s an original YA and I found it enjoyable — and mostly different from the usual.

WHITE HOT by
Ilona Andrews

The second book in Andrews’ Hidden Legacy is a gem in Urban Fantasy/PNR. I read the entire series this year – but White Hot was my fave.

GEEKERELLA by
Ashley Poston

This book by far was my favorite happy read. It was a perfect blend of geek awesome, and guilty pleasure swoon material.

ALL OUR WRONG TODAYS by Elan Mastai
Mastai’s masterpiece of time-travel goodness was my favorite read of the year.  It was gut-wrenching, emotional, and all-consuming. It was also completely different than anything I’ve read before. One line in this book took my insides and ripped them to pieces. It’s a must-read and the best book I’ve read in a really long time, not just 2017.

READY PLAYER ONE by Ernest Cline
My latest obsession, I only finished this yesterday (when I was writing this post) and it consumed me until I finished it. I did the audiobook with Wil Wheaton’s narration (perfection!). The book did have some issues – but I didn’t care, I was hooked. Cried because it’s not a series – and then went and watched the trailers a few time and then cursed some more because I know it’s going to be cool, but not as good as the book.

I really need to add Andrews to my list, I’ve never read any of her books. I’m reading mostly NA and Adult too nowadays.
