Looks like it's an Amazon day!

In the last two years, my personal life has gotten rather complicated. Just because my hobbies and side hustles have increased. It’s funny how life changes, right? From volunteering as PTA President for the kid’s school, to deciding to turn a house I own into an Airbnb, writing, crazy DIY obsessions, writing, designing, product reviews…my two obsessions of reading and designing are not alone anymore. This has led to less posting on the PJV – which makes me sad.

And either I let the blog die. Which I will not go quietly with this. Or it metamorphs into something I want it to be, instead of me trying to morph my posting into some stupid guideline I “thought” it should be. If that makes any sense.

This being said, you might see a few different things from the PJV in the future. You don’t have to read the posts if you don’t want to, but I’m just letting you know, this is what I’m going to be doing:

  1. The products I get from Amazon Vine, I’ll do detailed reviews of them on the blog. This means you’ll see everything from pots and recipes, to nail guns. It’s what I get from the Vine. I love my products and I need to do better reviews of them.
  2. DIY projects, like my headboards
  3. Tutorials (writing, blogging, household, PTA stuff – what??!!)
  4. Writer & Lifestyle stuff
  5. Book Reviews (still gonna do them!)

We are also planning an EPIC road trip this summer, and I plan to document the entire trip here as I go along. I’ll be using Roadtripper.com online and the app. I hope you guys like aliens…because we plan on hitting Roswell and the alien highway.

This is my way of keeping the PJV alive, and not feeling like I HAVE to do things a certain way to be a book blogger. I might not be a book blogger anymore, scratch off book – and just put blogger if you need to label me. But, really this blog has always been about WRITING. No matter what I write about. So, I’m giving myself a little break.

I’m so glad that your blog is evolving and you aren’t letting it go!! I feel like I’ve moving in the same way. I look forward to seeing your DIY projects and watching the upcoming changes. I hope you have a great roadtrip!! Can’t wait to see the pictures.

      Thank you Mandy!

I think it will be awesome to see all the fun things you’re doing! I think we get too stuck on labels anyway. I want my blog to be about me, and I try to find bookish ways to express myself because I feel like I’m a “book blogger” so everything should be centered around books, but honestly, that is not all of who I am. (Although sometimes I could disagree with that) Have fun with your blog! I can’t wait to see your Vine reviews and the neat stuff you get!

Yours was one of the first blogs I followed years ago and I always loved the content. Very much looking forward to reading about your trip (Roswell!)
I was blogging about books for 4 years -reviews, promos, interviews, giveaways-when I realized this wasn’t why I started the blog and I just didn’t enjoy it that much anymore so I let the blog die. Do what you feel is right and enjoy it. It’s your blog 🙂

Oh I’m sorry you let it die, I refuse lol…too much invested. And I still have a stack of review books. 😀

Blogging should be fun. If it morphs into something a little different, that is fine. Have a good summer.

Hey, thank you Nathan! I know, I’m too hard on myself. And book blogging when I started was a bit judgemental. Now it’s a free-for-all lol
