by Lori Foster
Lori Foster’s new series, Body Armor is a good intro to her new world. It’s an MMA series, and while not the best I’ve read, was full of suspense and hotness that is typical of Lori Foster. Foster is an A-List romance author and her suspense is a must read.
Under Pressure is a spin-off from the Ultimate series. Leese, introduced in that series leaves MMA to become a bodyguard. Not original, I’ve read a few of these types of romances, so while the writing is top notch, I wish it had a little bit more to it. The book is full of phenomenally original characters, though, and it’s wild ride from the beginning to the end. I liked the interplay between the couple, and while the romance happened quickly, it was romantic. It’s definitely a series you’ll want to check out if you like the MMA romances or bodyguard romances.

Leese Phelps’s road hasn’t been an easy one, but it’s brought him to the perfect job — working for the elite Body Armor security agency. And what his newest assignment lacks in size, she makes up for in fire and backbone. But being drawn to Catalina Nicholson is a dangerous complication, especially since it could be the very man who hired Leese who’s threatening her.
What Catalina knows could get her killed. But who’d believe the sordid truth about her powerful stepfather? Beyond Leese’s ripped body and brooding gaze is a man of impeccable honour. He’s the last person she expects to trust — and the first who’s ever made her feel safe. And he’s the only one who can help her expose a deadly secret, if they can just stay alive long enough...

One of the best books I’ve read in a long time, All Our Wrong Todays, was a far-reaching, insightful, and witty, novel, disguised as a shallow time-travel piece. I cried, I laughed, I yelled in frustration, as I read, Elan Mastai’s debut, in was an emotional roller-coaster.read more
Finding Gideon was marketed as a stand-alone, even though there are more stories in this series, and technically it is, but I did feel that I fell feet first into a story that I wasn’t ready for. I think it had to do with the main POV in the beginning which was Medianoche, which starts out in a place I didn’t want to be. I didn’t like him, I didn’t want to read about him…and it kept increasing.read more
