If you like zany and humorous paranormal romance, look no further than Lexi George’s DEMON HUNTING series. You can jump right in at any point in the series, each book is your typical PNR, covering a different hero and heroine in the same world. This is a three-star for me, mostly because of taste. If it’s going to be comedic PNR I like it a certain way. I’m picky like that.
The main character, Sassy Peterson, crashes her Maserati into a creek, gets attacked by a demonic deer and a crazy hag and is saved by a uber hot neanderthal named Grim. That’s about the gist of the entire story. It’s a complex paranormal world with demon hunters, half-demons, fairies, witches and all kinds of things. The heroine finds out she is magical and is smitten with a man that hunts her kind. Or at least, the 100% version of her kind. The book goes from one zany episode to the other, with little mantra’s of Southern advice thrown in for the charm.
The story goes up and down and all around and at some points I did feel like it was all too much, but then an explanation came and it made sense. George’s writing is top notch and she has a great grasp of dialogue. My favorite was the dialogue with Grim and his inability to grasp the modern human world. It was well done.
If you are a fan of the series you won’t go wrong with this one. George keeps up the pace she has delivered in the earlier books. Again, my three star comes out of taste and I found it a bit too sweet at times. You might like that though.
I received this book for free from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review.

This Debutante Is Having A Ball!
Way down south in the land of cotton, one belle's plans are soon forgotten--when Sassy Peterson drives her Maserati off the road to avoid a deer and lands smack-dab in the proverbial creek without a paddle. The Alabama heiress should have known something weird was going on when she saw the deer's ginormous fangs. Hello, Predator Bambi! But nothing can prepare her for the leather-clad, muscle-bound, golden-eyed sex god who rescues her. Who wears leather in May?
That's just the first of many questions Sassy has when her savior reveals he's a demon hunter named Grim. Also: Why would a troop of fairies want to give her magical powers and rainbow hair? Why would a style-challenged beast called the Howling Hag want to hunt her down?
Most importantly, what's a nice debutante like Sassy doing in a place like this anyway? Besides feeling Grim...
