Can you tell us a little bit about yourself?
I live in Stockholm, Sweden. When I am not writing, I like to read a mix of romance, fantasy, mystery and non-fiction ( mostly history.) When I have the money, I like to travel. I have been in various European countries, but not in the US. ( Yet! There are plans for NY next year.)

In your own words, tell us a little bit about your book?
The Cauldron Bound has had two versions. The first version was a crappy short story that I wrote to see if if I could write something based on a anthology theme. I could.
Then I let in sit, until I was writing another story and wanted to know what happened 3000 years earlier. So I took the premise and rewrote from scratch. After a couple of rounds revisions and edits, I had a solid novella.

Can you tell us about the characters in your book? Who is your favorite?
I love all my characters, but I think my favourite in this book is Moirin. She is a cranky seer hermit who doesn’t want anything to do with the war, but she leaves the valley anyway.

What makes your book different from other books out there in the same genre?
Well. It is a bronze age fantasy novella featuring dark elves. I am not certain how many of those there are out there?
One thing that is different is that my characters solves things by clever. For them violence is the last resort.

What led to you going “indie”?
I write novellas and always have. The decision to go indie have been growing slowly during the last two years or so. In the end, I think it comes from the fact that I want to have control more than earn a lot of money. Though, earning money is nice too.

Is Writing your full time profession?
No. I work part time in a hospital with administration. I like it, even if it isn’t the most fancy job.

Do you have any quirks or processes that you go through when you write?
Not really. I just sit down, open Scrivener and write. Though I cannot sit in coffeeshops, since I get too distracted by everything around me.

Who are some of your favorite authors?
I read widely, but I’ll do my best to recommend some from every genre.
Mystery: The Wisteria Tearoom series by Patrice Greenwood. The new one is just out.
Urban Fantasy: Chrysoula Tzavelas and her Senyaza novels.
Paranormal Romance: Moira Rogers. I am impatiently waiting for the next book.
Contemporary romance: Vivian Arend. Mmm.

What are you reading now?
I am in the middle of editing the next book, so I want re-reads. So I am re-reading Eve Langlais Welcome to Hell series. After that I will probably re-read something else.

What advice can you give to struggling writers?
Keep on writing.
It doesn’t matter which road you take, there will be moments when you wonder why you are writing, but then you will remember that you write because you love it.

About the book:
TheCauldronBound_Small-2
Worn down by centuries of war, all Aodh want is to return to his smithy, to live a life in peace. When his chieftain gives Aodh and his friends the task of finding out why the Portal Clan isn’t showing any signs of weakening, they accept it, despite knowing it is a desperate mission.
As they travel through the territories of other clans, Aodh and his friends discover that the dark elf clans on the other side of the Forest are ensnared in a web of foul magic. As their search for the foul magic leads them to Moirin of the Valley, none of them is aware exactly how vicious the web is. Or what they will have to do to escape it.
