Book Blogger Hop

The Feature & Follow is hosted by TWO hosts, Parajunkee of Parajunkee’s View and Alison of Alison Can Read. Each host will have their own Feature Blog and this way it’ll allow us to show off more new blogs!

How does this work?

The goal is to increase blog followers and make friends. First you leave your name here on this post, (using the linky tools — keep scrolling!) then you create a post on your own blog that links back to this post (easiest way is to just grab the code under the #FF picture and put it in your post) and then you visit as many blogs as you can and tell them “hi” in their comments (on the post that has the #FF image). You follow them, they follow you. Win. Win. Just make sure to follow back if someone follows you! What sets this Hop apart from others, is our Feature. Each week we will showcase a Featured Blogger, from all different genres and areas. Who is our Feature today? Find out below. Just remember it is required, if you participate, to follow our Features and you must follow the hosts (Parajunkee & Alison Can Read) as a courtesy. How do you follow someone? Well, if you have a preference, state it in your #FF post. A lot of blogs are transitioning to WordPress in which they do not have the luxury of GFC, so an RSS subscription is appreciated or if you choose an email subscription. If you don’t have GFC please state in your post how you would like to be followed. All features are chosen randomly to be the feature. They are not chosen by content or name.

Book Blogger Hop

Lucky Devil Reviews

When did you start blogging?

I started Lucky Devil Reviews just a few weeks ago, but I actually had another book review blog a few years ago. I never really wanted or planned to quit; a personal tragedy made everything look pretty bleak and I found myself not caring about much of anything. You can read more on the “About” section of my blog if you want to know more. Anyway, fast forward to now; I finally feel like me again and had really missed reviewing and the book blogger community. Glad to be back!

What is your favorite part of book blogging?

Of course I love getting to read all sorts of amazing books and interacting with so many wonderful, interesting people. However, I would say my favorite part is knowing that my reviews are helping people; they help the authors get word out about their book and they help potential readers find a new book they might enjoy.

What type of books do you mainly blog about?

Sometimes I feel like I’m a little too broad with my tastes, but I like a wide variety of books. Basically Adult/Young Adult fiction and graphic novels/comics. Usually the books have at least some degree of romance in them.

What are your favorite books?

I could no sooner choose a favorite child! Haha, well I only have one, but that’s beside the point! I can easily say my favorite graphic novel series is Saga. Fiction books are not so easy. I’ll have to just go with my favorite genre: paranormal romance.

What has been the best thing that has happened to you because of book blogging?

I actually had an interaction with a young author a couple of weeks ago. I read her book and had some issues with it, which I detailed in my review. I didn’t put her down or bash the book, but not everything in it worked for me and so I was honest. I was sort of dreading her emailing me back; you never know if someone is going to get upset if your review is anything other than positive. She was absolutely gracious about it, thanking me for being so honest. This is the best thing so far that has happened since I started Lucky Devil Reviews, knowing that she understood what I was trying to say and that she seemed to really appreciate it.

Book Blogger Hop

You can only eat one cuisine type for the rest of your life. Which would you choose? (E.g. Italian, French, Greek, Mexican, Chinese, Indian etc…) – Suggested by Journey Through Fiction.

Oh I reject this question! Who only can eat once cuisine??? I would die. DIE. DIE! I guess I will have to go with Japanese…. I couldn’t live without sushi. I would get fat just eating Italian or Mexican (ok I’ve already eaten too much Italian), I would ruin my stomach lining eating only Indian, Greek, like it but couldn’t limit myself, same with other Middle Eastern type cuisines…OMG killing me. Ok Japanese, maybe Vietnamese.
