KISS ME by Susan Mallery is the seventeenth book in the Fool’s Gold series, a good book and probably my favorite. The first kiss between the hero and heroine did me in, I swooned and I didn’t stop swooning. Mallery got her game back with KISS ME. I want to go and find me a cowboy now, just for me, and I’ve never been particularly taken by cowboy romances. I do have to comment on the cover though – what’s with the bike? Did I miss that in the story?
KISS ME is the story of Pheobe and Zane. Zane’s brother has gotten him into a pickle and launched a vacation cattle drive website and booked reservations to make money, by accident. Now Zane has to open his beloved ranch up to strangers and go on a cattle drive with civilians just so his brother won’t be in too much trouble.
Pheobe gets involved when her friend, Zane’s stepsister, asks if she could go and help out Zane. She does more than help out…the concept of the novel might be a little silly but the romance was amazing. And the action of the cattle drive, which was a lot of fun. They had wonderful scenes between the different characters involved and even set-ups for furhter books in typical FOOL’S GOLD fashion.
Overall, a great new addition to the series and different enough to feel almost new again.
Recommendation: For fans of romances and specifically contemporary romance, check this one out. Fans of the Fool’s Gold series will love it. If you haven’t started the series yet, you can start here – or go to the beginning and experience it all. It’s a lovely series that doesn’t feel regurgitated.
I received this book for free from Publisher in exchange for an honest review. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review.
