Genre: Paranormal- Romance, Adult

Can you tell us a little bit about yourself?
I’ve always had a crazy imagination. When I was younger I never used to like to read but I would draw and create so many different stories through pictures, with very little dialogue. I still have a lot of them to this day and they’re embarrassing to look at, lol. It took me five years to write my first novel and I think mostly because of insecurities. I was a closet writer, lol. I would read a lot of mythology and folklore, and it took me a while to find my own style. In total I have about 9 drafts of my book and decided after my daughter was born to simply finish it. After all what did I have to loose.

In your own words, tell us a little bit about your book?
Velicious is about Justice Morel who is being drawn into this dark world where Vampires, hunters and government experiments gone wrong, all exist. She’s being drawn in like a moth to flame by sheer coincidence, or she thinks as her friends turn on her, Vampires try to kill her relentlessly and as hard as denies, she finds herself attracted to this mysterious stranger, who seems very familiar to her but she can’t figure out from where. Like in a distant dream.

Can you tell us about the characters in your book? Who is your favorite?
I love little pieces of all my characters. I think every author feels this way, lol.

My favorite hands down, would be Dante. I love him, lol. When I first wrote my book five years ago, I began with him and his twin. I didn’t know what I was getting into then. I didn’t know where the story would take me. All I knew then was that the more I wrote, the more curious I became about his story.

Dante acts without thinking, simply because he can. There are no consequences, person or Vampyre that he fears. I created a monster without really, meaning to create such a beast. A devious, manipulative asshole with such a darkness, and complexity to him that when writing, up until I finish the scene his path isn’t revealed to me.

What makes your book different from other books out there in the same genre?
To tell you the truth, I don’t know exactly how my book is different from other Paranormal- romances. I mean there are so many published works under the same genre and every author has their own ideas and opinions. All I can say is that my book is different because its my universe. Its my personal touch to the recycled genre that everyone has adored for years.

Every author has their own tale to tell and this is my tale. My story, my own personal mark on the paranormal genre.

What led to you going “indie”?
I wanted to have more control over my work. Does that make me sound like a control freak? lol.

Being an indie author, it seemed to intrigue me more than a traditional publisher. Maybe it’s because I don’t have a lot of patience. If I did the traditional way, I would have to wait for a publisher to respond and who knows how long that would take. I knew what I wanted. I spent money from my own pockets to make sure my book was readable and most importantly, I didn’t want to wait for someone else to decide my path as an author. I wanted to create my own path and so I did.

It’s been nice meeting new friends on this journey and so far I’ve been enjoying it. We will see where this journey takes me.

Is Writing your full time profession?
As of right now, just part-time.

Do you have any quirks or processes that you go through when you write?
Relaxing instrumentals playing in the background and A warm cup of ginger tea.

Who are some of your favorite authors?
Too many, I love me some Stephen King, Veronica Roth, Richelle Mead, Nicolas Spark, George R. R. Martin, Charlaine Harris

What are you reading now?
I just finished reading ‘Good Pussy, Bad Pussy’ by A. Amiee. It was an interesting read.

What advice can you give to struggling writers?
Write, write and write some more. Surround yourself with people who support you and want you to succeed.

About the book:
Justice Morel always had her life perfectly planned. Her goals were to graduate from the University with exceptional grades and get into the best law school Canada has to offer.

Then one day, Justice tried to kill herself. Well, not her technically. It may have been Justice Morel’s body, but those actions weren’t intentional and the suicidal thoughts were not hers. Or, so she keeps telling her therapist and family.

Justice is afraid she’s losing her mind and just wants to forget everything. But when her best friend is murdered, another one is being mind-screwed by a Vampyre, and her ex is back in town, looking as scrumptious as ever and very suspicious, maybe she isn’t all that crazy!

Just when she thinks that life couldn’t throw her anymore curve balls, Justice figures out that she is Vampyre Doll and there’s a vampyre who seems very familiar to her, but she can’t figure out from where.

Justice is suffocating and drowning in a dark world she’s been tossed into, forced to survive. It’s a world she never wanted to know about and would love to ignore, like it doesn’t exist. But, with every passing day, she’s pulled deeper and deeper into the rabbit hole, wishing for everything to go back to the way it was.
