Review: I could base a discussion post on this book and I probably will in the future, maybe after I’ve read the second book, but for right now let’s keep this quick and dirty. If you are looking for a straight-up, sexy erotica – this book isn’t for you. NIGHT OWL is a psychological miasma of twists, turns, obsessions, raunchy sex, co-dependency, drugs, alcoholism, loss… (have I scared you off yet?) and how two people deal with all of the above. The female heroine, Hannah is first portrayed as a wishy-washy niave, down-on-her-luck character – that you expect to fall in-love with the rich, sexy, author, Matt Sky. He fixes her life – etc. etc. Nope. I told you about expectations right? M. Pierce throws this all out the window. She/He (whoever this author is) takes all you preconceived notions about romance novels, shakes them up and then turns them around. As a reader, I was left with question after question, surprised at every turn. I FREAKIN’ LOVED IT. I hope this book sells millions! This needs to be the next trendy read. The writing is smart, the characters are MONSTROUSLY in your face. The plot is topsy-turvy and the romance is HOT. What more can a reader ask for???

And just when you get to the end. Just when you are like “oh it’s over. I can breath. I can recuperate….” the epilogue slaps you in the FACE. Yep. It was a hard slap. I had a black-eye for a week.

Read this Book! Read it right now. It releases tomorrow. You have no excuses.

Recommendations: Adult reading, very explicit sex. This is a very daring romance novel, not recommended for readers that like to stay in their little romance boxes. I can’t even compare it to another writer. If you want to read about raunchy sex, with disturbed characters, written in an exceptional style…this is the book for you.
