Welcome to the Feature & Follow

Increase Blog FollowersThe Feature & Follow is hosted by TWO hosts, Parajunkee of Parajunkee’s View and Alison of Alison Can Read. Each host will have their own Feature Blog and this way it’ll allow us to show off more new blogs!

How does this work?

The goal is to increase blog followers and make friends. First you leave your name here on this post, (using the linky tools — keep scrolling!) then you create a post on your own blog that links back to this post (easiest way is to just grab the code under the #FF picture and put it in your post) and then you visit as many blogs as you can and tell them “hi” in their comments (on the post that has the #FF image). You follow them, they follow you. Win. Win. Just make sure to follow back if someone follows you! What sets this Hop apart from others, is our Feature. Each week we will showcase a Featured Blogger, from all different genres and areas. Who is our Feature today? Find out below. Just remember it is required, if you participate, to follow our Features and you must follow the hosts (Parajunkee & Alison Can Read) as a courtesy. How do you follow someone? Well, if you have a preference, state it in your #FF post. A lot of blogs are transitioning to WordPress in which they do not have the luxury of GFC, so an RSS subscription is appreciated or if you choose an email subscription. If you don’t have GFC please state in your post how you would like to be followed. All features are chosen randomly to be the feature. They are not chosen by content or name.

Our Feature is Bibliophillic Nerds

When did you start blogging?

I originally started blogging at the end of May this year. I haven’t been around very long but time sure does fly! 🙂

What is your favorite part of book blogging?

Being able to talk about books and express my feelings about them to people who share the same passion! I never got to do that before without my friends getting annoyed and clueless around me!

What type of books do you mainly blog about?

I mainly blog about YA books but sometimes about manga, and I’m thinking in the future of doing Adult books every once in awhile. But the blog is mostly going to stay YA!

What are your favorite books?

That’s a tricky one.. My favorites as of right now are: Pushing the Limits by Katie McGarry, Beautiful Creatures by Kami Garcia and Margaret Stohl, the Anna series by Kendare Blake, and The Madman’s Daughter by Megan Shepherd.

What has been the best thing that has happened to you because of book blogging?

Honestly, blogging in general is the best thing that’s ever happened to me in a long time. I’ve met so many amazing people; I’ve made a bunch of new and close blogging friends, I’ve made friends with authors (last year that seemed impossible to me!), I’m much happier in life and more willing to finally be myself without worrying about what others thought. I finally get to talk about books with people who share the same passion and it’s such an amazing feeling! The entire book community, not just bloggers but other readers, publishers, and authors as well, is so accepting and wonderful and kind. I love it so much and I’m so glad I decided to blog. As stressful as it can be, I’ve never been happier with my life. 🙂
