PJV Quickie: Susan Mallery’s FOOL’S GOLD series is my guilty pleasure. I love this contemporary romance series, I just lurve it so much.  Yes, it like a million books into the series and they are very similar in nature, hot famous guys, meet great woman and get their butts handed to them…fall in love, make great friends and find a home in Fool’s Gold. But, it’s so awesome to read about it. Mallery’s books are entertaining, romantic, sexy and sweet. I can’t get enough of Fool’s Gold. I can’t get enough of Susan Mallery.

Review: This Fool’s Gold was a little different than the usual Fool’s Gold. The characters are Destiny Mills and Kipling Gilmore. Destiny and Kipling are both “famous” and find each other. Destiny is the daughter of famous singers and was once in the spotlight as a teen when she released her first album. Kipling is a former skier, who was injured as is now living in Fool’s Gold and heading up their search and rescue team. Destiny is sent to Fool’s Gold to set-up the software that will map the area for search and rescue. Destiny is also is tasked with watching her half-sister over the summer, a teen she doesn’t know very well, but is in desperate need of a role model. In the middle of all the work, all the drama of being responsible for a teenager, Destiny is also attracted to Kipling and is lured into starting a relationship she doesn’t want. Fun in Fool’s Gold.

Grab yourself a comfy blanket, a warm drink and get yourself a Fool’s Gold book. You can start wherever you want, whatever book and still enjoy them. You’ll love the characters and the setting and if you follow the series, your favorite characters will pop up now and again to say, “hi.” Susan Mallery’s FOOL’S GOLD is not to be missed if you enjoy Contemporary Romance.

Recommendations: For fans of Contemporary Romance in small town settings. Adults only romance, sweet and sexy will have you swooning and sighing as the characters fall in love and work out their problems.

Destiny Mills believes passion has its place—like in the lyrics of the country songs that made her parents famous. After a childhood full of drama and heartache, she wants a life that's calm. Safe. Everything that Kipling Gilmore isn't. Her temporary assignment with the Fool's Gold search and rescue team puts her in delicious proximity to the former world-class skier every day. Part of her aches to let go for once…the rest is terrified what'll happen if she does.

Though an accident ended his career, Kipling still lives for thrills—and a hot fling with a gorgeous redhead like Destiny would be a welcome diversion. Yet beneath his new coworker's cool facade is a woman who needs more than he's ever given. With her, he's ready to take the risk. But love, like skiing, is all about trust—and before you soar, you have to be willing to fall.
