PJV Quickie: A fun, romantic short, PERFECT 10 by Erin McCarthy is another good example of Harlequin’s fun, Red-Hot series. The characters are “real”  in PERFECT 10, with a nice balance of sweetness, wit and sexy. They come together well and it makes for a good, get-away read.

Katrina's Lesson in Social Media Disasters
or How Technology Can Bite You in the A**

Katrina Phillips is an expert social media manager. But that doesn't mean she can't make mistakes. Horrible, hide-in-your-closet-forever mistakes…like accidentally syncing her BootyBook app with her online profiles.

Blammo. Now everyone in the world can see who Katrina has dated and how they rated in appearance, sexual performance and (OMG) detailed descriptions of their manly parts! Now her phone is blowing up with angry exes—and an out-of-the-blue text from the only guy who came close to a perfect score….

Katrina has had a thing for Drew Jordan since forever ago, even if a booze-fuelled one-nighter did destroy their friendship. So why is he suddenly texting her now—and is it because she rated his Sexy Staff of Manliness as "magnificent?" Now the only way to satisfy her curiosity is to reunite with Drew…and rate him all over again!

Review: PERFECT 10 opens up with funny, as Katrina Phillips the heroine, does a major blunder that brings an old flame back in her life. The old-flame is a typical novella trope – the fall-back in love – romance novellas like to implement, because the characters have the preexisting emotions that make the novella move along easily, especially when they have previously loved, like these two characters. I personally consider this cheating, but with this type of romance novella, I didn’t want to over think it, so I let it go and just enjoyed the fun. Mostly it was because the characters didn’t let me, over think it, they were cute to read and the situation that Katrina was in, was laugh-out-loud funny, even though I thought she probably would have faced a few more dire consequences for her actions – instead of just delivering her hot ex back to her doorstep in real life.

Definitely a title you want to check out, especially if you are looking for light and fun reading. Or maybe just to stare at this cover. “Hello nurse!”

Recommendations: Adult romance readers, there is some hot and sweaty time that is detailed in fine perfection, fans of Lori Foster and Victoria Dahl should enjoy.
