Welcome to the Feature & Follow

Increase Blog FollowersThe Feature & Follow is hosted by TWO hosts, Parajunkee of Parajunkee’s View and Alison of Alison Can Read. Each host will have their own Feature Blog and this way it’ll allow us to show off more new blogs!

How does this work?

The goal is to increase blog followers and make friends. First you leave your name here on this post, (using the linky tools — keep scrolling!) then you create a post on your own blog that links back to this post (easiest way is to just grab the code under the #FF picture and put it in your post) and then you visit as many blogs as you can and tell them “hi” in their comments (on the post that has the #FF image). You follow them, they follow you. Win. Win. Just make sure to follow back if someone follows you! What sets this Hop apart from others, is our Feature. Each week we will showcase a Featured Blogger, from all different genres and areas. Who is our Feature today? Find out below. Just remember it is required, if you participate, to follow our Features and you must follow the hosts (Parajunkee & Alison Can Read) as a courtesy. How do you follow someone? Well, if you have a preference, state it in your #FF post. A lot of blogs are transitioning to WordPress in which they do not have the luxury of GFC, so an RSS subscription is appreciated or if you choose an email subscription. If you don’t have GFC please state in your post how you would like to be followed. All features are chosen randomly to be the feature. They are not chosen by content or name.

Our Feature is Magic Of Words

When did you start blogging?

Hi everyone! I’m Amie from Magic Of Words I started book blogging back in April 2012 but it was set private until April 2013. I was shy and didn’t have much time to participate in the book blogging community so I kept the blog personal.

What is your favorite part of book blogging?

My favorite part of book blogging would probably being a part of this wonderful community. I love getting to meet/connect with my favorite authors, to make new friends who share the same interests as me and to talk to publishers 🙂

What type of books do you mainly blog about?

I read and review mostly YA books and occasionally some Middle Grade/New Adult books.

What is your favorite book(s)?

Ooh this is a hard one since there are so many. I think I’d have to go with my current favs which are These Broken Stars by Amie Kaufman & Meagan Spooner, Where the Stars Still Shine by Trish Doller and Just One Day by Gayle Forman.

What has been the best thing that has happened to you because of book blogging?

First of all, it gave me the courage to interact with my favorite authors (when they tweet me, I swear I thought my heart just stopped). Second I’m super thrilled every time I see someone actually read my post and comment on it. Third when people ask me for book recommendation, I don’t know but I feel really happy about that =D.

This weeks Question:

Merry Christmas! Happy Holidays! What books did Santa stuff your stocking with this holiday season? Do a holiday book haul for us! If you don’t celebrate just show off your books that you got this week. Pictures!!!

NONE! NONE! NONE! NONE! NONE! NONE! NONE! NONE! NONE! NONE! NONE! NONE! NONE! NONE! NONE!

My family obviously staged an intervention and decided Rachel didn’t need anymore books. Even though I asked for books! I have been waiting for some book fairy to drop off the fully Harry Potter series. I’ve been waiting for that every year since Katrina. I don’t think members of my family get me though…

I can't feel it...

But, I feel it…as I unwrap my presents…and all I got was a sewing machine. I don’t know how to sew.
